Life is what we make it
Good evening judges and my dear friends, my topic for today’s speaking contest is: life is what we make it. We’ve grown to perceive life as an enclosed curve with certain number of years in between. Both its shape and size depend on what we make it. Broadly speaking, we human beings are classified into three classes, those whose fate is totally determined by the God; those whose life path is largely influenced by the external circumstances and those who are able to conquer the unknown elements and be himself. With no doubt, we all dream or want or swear to be classified into the third class. One who can freely draw the curve, change its shape and broaden it to the maximum. Anyone possesses the potential of being classified into the third class. To fully develop that potential we need to face the enemies within. The first one is fear. Fear is the killer of our ambition. Overcaution is not the virtue but an illness. The second enemy within is negative attitudes towards life. Always remember that life gives the reward just in the way you embrace it. Indifference cools down our passion and makes life rather boring. The third enemy within is indecision. Indecision is the thief of opportunity and enterprise. It steals our chances of having a better future. Never can we let the enemies drive us into a small corner. Here’s what we’ve got to do: drive them into a small corner. Whatever is out to get you, you’ve got to get it. Whatever is pushing on you, you’ve got to push back. When we seize our own fate and bend it according to our will, a will driven by the spirit deep inside. Then the abundant vista is there for the seeing. And we are eventually able to maximize our life circle and embellish it. Life is what we make it; fate is right in our hand.
